Danny Elfman Working On The Wolfman ScorePosted by: LukeIf there is any remake that I have been looking forward to it is The Wolfman. I will admit however when Mark Romanek left the project I began to waiver. But after Comic Con and all the fantastic images of Benicio del Toro as The Wolfman have been released I am sold. Hiring Joe Johnston to replace Romanek I thought could have been the beginning of the end but now I'm totally sold on this film. Today to add yet another reason to check out this flick is that fantastic composer Danny Elfman has been put to work to score the film according to AICN. You may not know his name but you have heard his music. He has scored TONS of films including Spider-Man, Hellboy II, Wanted, Batman, Batman Returns and Big Fish. One of the reasons I think remake will really work is that the original film is not as accessible as most films for newer crowds. Not to mention that special FX have come a very long way in the last 60 years. Usually its a tricky thing when dealing with a remake but with the horror community you don't hear too many fans screaming fowl over this one. Universal plan on releasing the film on April 3rd, 2009.
