Early Hellboy 2 DVD Details & Art

I really was blown away by Hellboy II: The Golden Army (review). It was just what I had hoped it would be.. a real epic film with some of director Guillermo del Toro's amazing creature designs thrown in. A real perfect summer flick that also had substance as well. It was fun and not taken to seriously like another insanely popular comic book hero flick that came out this year.

DVD Active has learned that Universal Home Video will be releasing a one disc, three disc and a Blu-Ray edition of the film. Not only that but they will also be unleashing a special collectors set that will include a Limited Golden Army Statue, and an excerpt from the journal of Guillermo Del Toro.

Unfortunately they haven't released any specific DVD features but we do know that the three disc version of the film will include a digital copy of the film. There is also no street date for the disc but I am guessing that it will most likely be dropping around November just in time for Christmas. Below is the artwork for the three disc edition.
