Vin Diesel Directing Hannibal The Conqueror

Vin Diesel is not only going to direct a prequel to Fast and the Furious he also will be directing an upcoming childrens series based on Hannibal. Kind of an odd childrens series if you ask me. SciFi Wire reports;

Diesel told reporters that it’s still his ultimate goal to produce and star in a live-action film based on the life of Hannibal, but that in the meantime he’s producing and directing Hannibal the Conqueror, a children’s animated series about the third-century B.C. Carthaginian general who rode an elephant across the Alps in order to attack the Roman empire.

I would think the story of Hannibal would be a tad violent for a childrens tale.
