Simon Pegg Out of Inglorious Bastards

We have been following Quentin Tarantino's remake of The Inglorious Bastards very closely and so far the cast has been amazing. Everyone from Brad Pitt to Eli Roth and Simon Pegg! But sadly today Pegg anounced on his official MySpace blog that he will no longer be a part of the film.

"Much to our mutual disappointment, I won't be appearing in QT's forthcoming Inglorious Bastards due to insurmountable scheduling difficulties. We really tried to make it work but in the end, it just was not possible without severe ramifications elsewhere. I'm trying to remain upbeat, as Tom Selleck said 'Who the hell is Indiana Jones anyway?'"

The good news out of all of this however is that Simon Pegg is moving on and according to /Film he will be starring alongside Edgar Frost in Paul. Even better news is that directing this flick will be Superbad helmer Greg Mottola. Apparently Pegg will be playing the sidekick to Frosts character in this film. It sounds like a riot with two comic book fans going on a road trip together in search of adventure... I'm so there.
