The Dark Knight Brought Down By Stoners?

Oddly enough the fall of The Dark Knights reign over the box office may happen because a bunch of stoners got up off the couch to go see Pineapple Express. Early box office numbers for Friday show Pineapple Express in the lead with $7.9 million on Friday while The Dark Knight is slightly behind with $7.6 million. Pineapple Express had an impressive opening on Wednesday opening up with $12 million.

So after beating off all the competition for all this time it appears that The Dark Knight may have finally met his match. But the final numbers are not tallied yet for Friday. They can always be off by a few and in this case with them being so close it could happen. Of course the final weekend numbers may also vary greatly as well. Only time will tell.
