Kevin Smith's Porno Gets An R Rating

Kevin Smith has been hard at work the past couple weeks trying to please the MPAA with an R-Rating cut of his newest film "Zack and Miri Make A Porno". Upon submitting the film a couple times it continuously was being slapped with an NC-17 rating which meant no one under the age of 17 could see the film no matter what. Adult with them or not. So Smith decided to appeal the rating and took it to the board.

After the board viewed the film they revised the rating and slapped a brand new R rating on the film. A huge win for Kevin Smith and fans everywhere. Mainly because if it were to be released with an NC-17 rating by the Weinstein Co. no one would be able to see it. It might play in 300 theaters if we were lucky. I'm still unsure at how the Weinsteins will market this film being that the word "Porno" is right in the title.

The film stars Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks as best friends and roomates who must make a homemade porno flick to dig themselves out of debt. So they begin to cast roles and go through the whole process together. The film will be hitting theaters on October 31st so prepare yourself.
