Lethal Weapon 5 Rumors.. Again

A gazillion years ago ( ok maybe not that long ago ) it was being reported that Mel Gibson was offered $30million to reprise his role in the Lethal Weapon franchise. A whole lot of donuts that will buy you! The problem at the time was that Danny Glover had no interest in returning which is odd since I dont think he is very busy.

He announced a few years back that he didn't want to do another Lethal Weapon. If he didnt come back there was talks to bring back Chris Rocks character, Lee Butters. Today from Xtaster comes word that the original writer of Lethal Weapon has a script done and is pitching the idea. It would see Riggs played by Gibson retiring but getting his partner to do one last 'case'. I have to confess I really liked the duo and the character of Riggs was genius. A psychopathic cop who just loves trouble and gets into all kinds of it!
