Tropic Thunder Viral Site Shut Down!

The Tropic Thunder Viral site has been shut down for offending the Special Olympics and the Down Syndrome Association. Their is a meeting planned over the site SimpleJackMovie.com a viral site which has the tag line “Once upon a time there was a retard.” The joke is that serious Hollywood actors flock to play 'retards' in order to be taken seriously.

The Special Olympics and Down Syndrome Association have taken exception to this according to Variety and have planned a meeting with the studio head. Dreamworks has decided to take the high road stating that although the site is being taken out of context they are going to remove the site to be sensitive to people with disabilities.
