Can Dark Knight Topple Star Wars?

The Dark Knight has smashed a whole slew of Box Office Records since its release and has now made almost $334million in the box office. With the movie still going strong and next to no real competition coming up in the box office the question becomes can the film topple Star Wars which made $460million and become the new second highest grossing film in history?

My prediction at this point is no. Thats alot of money to make for a film that was a huge hit but starting to peter off in the box office as us fanboys have gotten our fill. All that is left for the movie is for us to go back for seconds. I can see the film coming very close to $400million but to get that extra push to $460 could be tough.

I myself will be in theatres tonight to catch it again and adding my $8.50 to the box office tally. I myself am predicting that Batman can take down the Joker but it wont be able to touch Star Wars. The #1 grossing film is Titanic with over $600million and its a really safe bet Dark Knight wont be touching that number.. or will it? Time will tell.
