Friday the 13th Comic Con Clip

Later in the week you can checkout our interviews with the cast including Derek Mears who plays Jason and Amanda Righetti who was in the clip shown today at Coic Con. But for now we can share with you a description of the clip that played at Comic Con for Platinum Dunes remake of the upcoming Friday the 13th Remake. Of course as soon as the clip pops online you will be able to watch it as well.

The clip opens with a look at crystal lake and transitions to two teens walking into a cabin ( the female teen is Amanda Righetti look for our interview later this week ) . In the cabin is a bed with the name Jason on it and in the wall there is a hole. Of course you know one of the teens is gonna do something genius and yes they stick their hand in the hole and Jason and his Machete come up through the floorboards and the kid is pulled down through the boards to his bloody doom. What wrongs did this teen do to deserve such carnage? Well for one he pulled Jasons moms head out of the hole in the wall and dropped it on the floor. The nerve!

Their is then a montage of your typical carnage of Jason doing what he does best.. killing. We sat down with Derek Mears who plays Jason and he told us about the first time he donned the mask to become the iconic killer.

"Everyone is doing their own thing then they kind of stop and put all their work down and I feel everyone watching me. So I walk over and I say lets go for it. It's kind of like this Excalibur moment putting on that mask. 'Awwwww'. Like putting a crown on. The feeling I can describe it is that feeling when you watch Star Wars and you hear that 'Bahhh" and you start to see the words scroll down and you get that chilll like 'Awww'. Thats what it felt like."

We will have a full interview with Jason and his victims later this week. Marcus Nispel who directed the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake is behind the camera on this project. The film will be hitting screens on February 13th, 2009. Thats Friday the 13th!
