Monster Man 2 & 3Posted by:"On this highway, the roadkill was human", say's the tagline to this years low budget indie horror comedy known as "Monster Man" - and it looks like we are in for more monster truck action and roadkill. Jeff Burr (TCM 3) has been tasked to co-write and direct the two back-to-back Monster Man sequels for Dream Entertainment and Lions Gate. The films are scheduled to shoot in LA, early 2005.
Jeff Burr says: "The approach on the Monster Man sequels is basically to maintain the sense of fun of the first, and push the horror in a slightly different direction. If the first one was comedy laced with a little horror, ours will be horror laced with a little comedy." Wondering what the first one was all about. Here's the synopsis.. and did I tell you, that there's a HUGE monster truck in it. Two brainless students on a Deep South road trip - Adam (Eric Jungmann) and Harley (Justin Urich) annoy the pizza-faced ghoulish driver of a monster truck who just loves to bulldoze his human targets off the highway and cut off their limbs. The plot turns zanier, darker and more disgusting when they pick up hitchhiker Sarah (Aimee Brooks, Sorority House Massacre), tick the psycho off further and end up hiding in the sicko's hovel where he's just disemboweled his own brother.
