Dark Knight Box Office Numbers

Forget Iron Man, looks like The Dark Knight is kicking some ass and definitely taking some names.  The Dark Knight brought in $18.5million on 3,040 screens at the midnight screenings alone. So you can add to that all the 2am and 6am screenings plus all the regular screenings over this weekend and what do you get? You get a movie that is very likely going to blow up some box office records.

It has already broken the Box Office record set by Star Wars Episode 3 for most money made at a midnight screening. It brought in 16million, all be it on less screens then Dark Knight. Dark Knight is definitely proving to live up to all the hype in the box office!
