Avi Arad speaks on upcoming Marvel projects
Posted by:IESB had a chat with Avi Arad about several upcoming projects and he let a few tidbits slip. First of all he stated that Sam Raimi miscommunicated. Spider man 3 will in fact not be the last we see of Spiderman. I take that as both good and bad news. I want to see more Spiderman but I have a bad feeling that they could ruin the series.
Next they spoke on X-Men 3 and why Brian Singer jumped ship. When it came down to it Superman offered him more money so he went with that project. So there is no bad blood with Singer and Marvel. The film is supposedly going to be handled by Joss Whedon. There has been no official announcement but Arad feels strongly that he is the man.
Lastly they spoke on the Iron Fist film. Unfortunately for now it is being put on the back burner because they have so many projects going at once. Ray Park (Darth Maul, Toad) is still attached to the project so we can look forward to him in the film.
