I Robot Explained by Rick

The screenplay is an original story "with elements of Isaac Asimov's stories". With Will Smith in it, expect a lot more car chases & explosions. On the plus side, Dr. Susan Calvin, featured in one way or another in each of the stories, is the female lead (played by Bridget Moynihan), and Sonny, the lead robot, will be performed by Alan Tudyk (Wash on Firefly) much like Gollum was by Andy Serkis; Tudyk was physically there, acting with Smith, etc, but has been digitally replaced with the CGI robot.

I'll go see it, certainly, but with more than a little wariness. I like Will Smith; he's genuinely funny... but, as a rule, I rarely enjoy his films. Some I downright hate. On the other hand, if Minority Report had stayed true to the novella, it woulda stunk, in my opinion. (It didn't, and I liked it)It NEEDED a healthy dose of car chases & explosions.
