Has the Next Hobbit Been Chosen?

We got another possible casting rumor that has been circulating today. Unlike the earlier Spider-Man rumor though this one isn't going to be a replacement. According to Daily Express, the studio has been throwing around some names for the hero in The Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins. Nabbing the top spot however seems to be actor James McAvoy.

“A number of names have privately been doing the rounds, including Daniel Radcliffe and Jack Black but James is the one the film’s bosses really want,” the source tells the paper. “They’re expected to have talks with him soon so hopefully it could be confirmed in the not too distant future.”

Guillemo del Toro wouldn't comment on the situation but what he did have to say was that when he met up with Peter Jackson he admitted, “I can tell you it’s down to a few names that we all agree upon. For our first choice, completely magically, we all said the same name.”
