New Subtitled Trailer for Shaolin Girl

Before Stephen Chow hit screens here in the U.S. with Kung Fu Hustle he made another film called Shaolin Soccer. That film played small art theaters and some big markets but didn't get much news coverage. It was a fantastic film in which he also starred in. Now Shaolin Girl is the sequel to that film.

In this movie Kou Shibasaki is in the lead role as Rin, a young kung fu teacher who must take over her grandfather's dojo. In order to prepare herself, she make a journey to China for 3,000 days of grueling Shaolin kung fu training. Upon her return to Japan, she works to rebuild the dojo and joins her university Lacrosse club, putting her prowess to work for the team.

The film is going to have its Hong Kong debut on May 29th. So expect some more news about this one in the coming months about what kind of release we can expect in the states. Check out the trailer below..
