Tony Todd in Dawn of the Dead 2

I think it is safe to say that everyone knows who George Romero is. His name alone is enough marketing for any horror fan to go check out anything he is working on. Of all of his films however Dawn of the Dead is by far his most popular film. So when an announcement of a upcoming sequel was announced, you can bet there was more than a little buzz.

According to B-D, Tony Todd (Candyman) is now in talks to star in the sequel. No word on what role he will playing but I think it is safe to say he will be filling Ken Foree's shoes possibly. In some instances it doesn't make to much sense because they are about the same age and Foree can still act as seen in The Devils Rejects and Rob Zombie's Halloween.

No word on a director has been announced yet but hopefully Romero will have some involvement in the project. My guess is that he may appear as some kind of producer. Only time will tell though. Keep it here for more.
