Tartan Runs into Financial Trouble

Today it has been revealed in Variety what some of us have known for awhile. Tartan is in trouble. It would seem specifically the trouble is financial. Tartan is a great company with some of the best films ever made in its library of films including Old Boy which is easily one  of the greatest films ever made!

According to Variety the library of films owned by Tartan will be sold and the final outcome of Tartan is a big question mark at this point. I have to say I am saddened by this news. Tartan is a great company with great people and we as film fans will lose out at the loss of such a great genre company. Whoever manages to pick up the library of films Tartan owns will win in a big kind of way but the same can not be said for fans. Tartan had a special connection with fans and were one of the best at promoting and including fans in their film projects. Here is hoping they can breathe new life into one of the best companies in the Film Biz!
