Frank Millers Bloggin The Spirit

Our comrades at Reel Comix pointed out that Frank Miller has just posted another blog about the film adaptation of Will Eisner's The Spirit. Now unfortunately this is another comic that I just never found the time to read. I mean its Will Eisner! I know I have to get some reading done.

This blog in particular is about the adaptation of The Spirits love interest, Ellen Dolan, from the page to the silver screen. The actress that has that task is Sarah Paulson. I think this movie is going to have a lot of challenges ahead. Not only are the fans going to be highly critical of the film but MANY artists and higher people within the ranks of the comic industry will be watching for this one.

However I can't think of anyone better suited for this project than Frank Miller. He is a terrific story teller and was on set and studied under Robert Rodriguez during the filming of Sin City. The material for this film is not that much different than that of Sin City so for him to take this on as his first solo project I think is a great move.
