Goldwyn & Potter Join Last House Remake

The Last House on the Left remake has been on the table for quite some time and it sounds like they are finally moving forward with it. The film is being produced for Rogue under Wes Craven's shingle Midnight Pictures. As mentioned before director Dennis Iliadis is still attached and will be working from a script that was rewritten to give the original story a more "realistic tone" by Adam Alleca.
Today Variety is reporting that Tony Goldwyn and Monica Potter have just joined the cast. Earlier we heard that Garret Dillahunt will be stepping into the shoes of the villianous maniac, Krug, who was once played by David Hess. The cast also includes Rhys Coiro, Martha MacIsaac and Riki Lindhome.
The new film follows a group of escaped convicts who take two teenage girls hostage and then take refuge in one of the girl's home after leaving her for dead. Filming is expected to begin March 24th in South Africa.
