Dragonball Pushed Back

Posted by: Luke

Today it was revealed by SuperheroHype that the live action Dragonball movie will be pushed back from August 15th to April 3rd, 2009. I think the new date is a much more feasable date given the amount of CGI and post production work they are going to have to do on this film. The previous date was also already occupied by The International, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Tropic Thunder and Wild Child.

The cast includes Chow Yun Fat, Justin Chatwin, James Marsters, Emmy Rossum and Jamie Chung. The film, directed by James Wong, follows Goku (Chatwin), a warrior alien who protects the Earth from an endless stream of rogues bent on dominating the universe and controlling mystical objects known as Dragon Balls. Stephen Chow is producing.

Dragonball is currently shooting in Mexico City and Los Angeles.
