Ryan Rotten over at Shock has learned that the remake machine, Platinum Dunes, have decided to take another look at Ira Levin's 1967 horror novel Rosemary's Baby. Currently they are in talks with Paramount to "update" Roman Polanski's classic horror flick. Word is that right now Producers Brad Fuller and Andrew Form are looking for writers.

This news shouldn't come as a shock to those of you who know of Platinum Dunes and their undying affection towards remaking classic films. So far they have done remakes for Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Amityville Horror, The Hitcher and plenty more. They are even eyeing Hitchcock's classic The Birds.

In the original film, Rosemary and her husband move into a new apartment, only to be surrounded by peculiar neighbors and occurrences. When Rosemary becomes mysteriously pregnant, paranoia over the safety of her unborn child begins controlling her life. Right now the guys at Platinum Dunes are busy working on two other classic remakes of Friday the 13th and Nightmare On Elm Street.
