Justice League Full Steam Ahead

As we reported earlier the Justice League of America Movie had been pushed back until 2010. Well today Variety announced that the film is back on track. Warner Bros. has decided to put this one on the fast track and are now eyeing a 2009 tentpole release.

The film was really on hold because Warner did not want to push ahead without the writers being able to go back over the script and give it another polish. So now that the strike is over, scribes Kieran and Michele Mulroney have that opportunity. The finished script is expected back at the studio in several weeks, and the cast has been advised to keep training for their superhero roles. The director George Miller is already in Austrailia busy on pre-production.

Hugh Keays-Byrne was announced yesterday as playing ‘The Martian Manhunter’ in the film. He joins Megan Gale (Wonder Woman), Armie Hammer (Batman), Adam Brody (The Flash), Teresa Palmer (Talia al Ghul), Common (The Green Lantern) and Zoe Kazan (Iris Allen).
