First Look at CG Smurfs Movie

As a product of the 80s I am being targeted for a lot of recent films that are in the process of being made or released recently. Transformers, GI Joe, TMNT, He-Man, the list goes on and on. The last cartoon that I thought I would be talking about becoming a film would be The Smurfs. But apparently I was wrong.

It appears that Paramount Pictures have set up a 3D CG-animated The Smurfs theatrical film. I actually don't think this is a good idea. As much as I love the original cartoon, I don't like the CG-animated idea and I think that the cartoon hasn't been aired on regular television to appeal to the younger children to The Smurfs.
