Dazed & Confused Movie, Stoner Lawsuit

According to the Associated Press the distributor of Dazed and Confused a classic Stoner movie are being sued by Bobby Wooderson, Andy Slater, and Richard "Pink" Floyd. The three claim that the director didn't get their permission to use their last names or base characters on them in the film.

They claim that their lives are completely miserable as a result of the film. Having seen this movie and really liked it I am really not sure what the hell they are on about. I am sure we will see some big dollar settlement and lots of money changing hands which im sure is the intent of the suit in the first place. Trying to cash in. But with that said to be fair, if their names were used without consent why in the hell has it taken THIS long to use? I dont know
