Brand New Trailer for The Cottage

Paul Andrew Williams has been hiding away stewing up a film that looks like a combination of High Tension and Severance. I must say that Europe has really been bringing in the goods when we are talking about horror. These films seem to have a new edge which may wear off much like all the Japanese horror films did when they exploded.

Empire Online has just got their hands on a very juicy trailer for the film. With Old McDonald as the soundtrack this trailer certainly sets the tone for the hillarity that will ensue. Our UK readers will be able to enjoy the film on March 14th and for all of us in the U.S. Sony Screen Gems will be handling distribution. The Cottage stars Andy Serkis (best known as Gollum from LOTR) and Reece Shearsmith (League of Gentlemen) as kidnappers who's attempt to make a big ransom goes horribly wrong. The duo takes a gang leader's daughter (Ubelieveably sexy Jennifer Ellison) captive in the countryside but she quickly turns the tables by kidnapping one of her captors. Unfortunately for them all, they soon come across a psychotic killer farmer and all hell breaks loose.
