Romanek Drops The Wolf Man

One of the shining aspects of the upcoming remake of the classic 1941 The Wolf Man was director Mark Romanek. His previous work includes One Hour Photo which was a genuinely creepy experience. Now Variety is reporting that he has left the production due to a dispute over the budget and other creative differences.

The film is already shooting with a budget of $100 million making it one of the most highly budgeted horror films ever. Universal planned to being production in March and are expecting to find Romaneks replacement by the end of the week.

Benicio del Toro has long been attached as the title character, Larry Talbot. Recently added to the cast have been Anthony Hopkins as his father and Emily Blunt as the female lead. Be sure to keep it here and as soon as Romaneks replacement is announced we will let you know.
