Nightmare On Elm Street Remake On The Way

Platinum Dunes have already remade countless films including Amityville Horror, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and are currently working on a Friday the 13th remake. So what is the next classic horror film that Brad Fuller, Andrew Form and Michael Bay do next. According to Variety they are currently working on overhauling A Nightmare On Elm Street.

As you would expect with the writers strike causing so much chaos in Hollywood they will not be hiring a writer until that is taken care of. Now all that we can hope is that Robert Englund will be brought back on board to star as Freddy Krueger. In the intial article they refer to Englund as the "original" Freddy. I think I speak for all fans when I say that this franchise will either thrive or die a horrible death based on the casting of Freddy Krueger.
