Sam Raimi to Direct The Hobbit?

No official word has been set in stone yet but in a recent interview with Sam Raimi we had, he mentioned that he would love to direct "The Hobbit" if Peter Jackson was producing. Well in light of the BIG news yesterday, Jackson will indeed be producing and not directing. So this begs the question, will it happen?

Sam Raimi has been on the fence about directing Spider Man 4 and personally I don't see it happening. I think Sam has finally become tired of doing the same thing and I think several of the actors feel the same way. Raimi's next move could be directing "The Hobbit" which would make for a great flick. Will be interesting how his unique style of filmmaking will fit with the project material.
