Day of the Dead Remake Coming

This hasn't been announced anywhere but a low budget company called Taurus Entertainment owns the rights to Romero's DAY OF THE DEAD and they're about to embark on a "remake" of sorts. I don't know if you'd call it a direct remake, it's more of a "parallel" story. T
 
hey used to own the rights to DAWN but eventually sold it to Universal for the current remake. I'm sure they're cashing in on that success. What worries me is that this project is in the hands of some crappy low budget company with no track record!
 
Apparently the bulk of the story takes place in a hospital. I don't know what the final budget is or who's in it but they're way into pre-production and only weeks out from shooting. Just thought you might be interested.........

Editors Note: I actually feel this film has quite a bit of potential and is not cashing in on the Romero zombie films, time will tell. Be sure to read the other news on this film and get other views.
