A new film is in the works by an indie developer, that fans of Mad Max will love. It is Mad Max Fury Road. Tom Millan who is working on this project dropped us an email to let us know about it, and here is what he had to say.
I'm Tom Millan, a low budget videographer. I'm an avid fan of the MAD MAX movies- Road Warrior being my favourite. I'm shooting a movie with a comic book character I created exactly 20.5 years ago. His name is Austin Pike (not to be confused with the bastardization of the name in the 1996 movie "Austin Powers"). I want people to see another tribute to the Mad Max films and "The Road's Most Wanted" does just that. It doesn't take place during "The Road Warrior" but it takes place during the time of "Mad Max".
However, it's more or less happening in Canada and the U.S before the big blast to end all blasts. The film not only takes place in dirty, slimy and worn down parts of the city, it takes place on gravel and asphalt roads. Although there is no mention of any Mad Max characters, there are implications that Austin's world coincides with Max's world. The story line is hair raising and skin crawling. I watched and wrote films for 24 years and know and make sure that this isn't some lame attempt at immitating a Mad Max movie. If I cancel the film, I am also an artist so I will do the comic of "The Road's Most Wanted". Would you or could you pass the information on to other Mad Max enthuiasts, maybe a small headline about it on your site? That would be so awesome. I'll try to send you some pictures and even better- Feel free to send me any suggestions as to what you would like and not like to see in this film
I love when film makers say 'tell us what you would like to see in this movie'. So do just that, drop us an email at madmax@moviesonline.ca and say what you would like to see in a mad max movie. not only will we forward it on to Tom but we will also enter you to win a cool prize. Lets say a copy of Kill Bill Volume 2 on DVD. Sound good?
Alright so get those suggestions coming in. You will help an indie film maker, and you win a dvd, win win. Email your suggestions with your contact information and address(for prize to be sent to) to madmax@moviesonline.ca
