X-Men Straight to DVD Sequels?

According to my buddy Vic at ScreenRant FOX is preparing to do even more X-Men movies. A smart move I must say. He also says however that the movies will go direct to DVD. According to Vic it all comes down to cost. Its just to expensive to continue making X-men movies that go to theatre. Whether this is true or not I dont know. I feel you can still make a good X-men movie and not break the bank but then I dont live and die by splashy special FX. The other side of this is I really dont CARE that they will go straight to DVD.

I would much rather watch a movie right away in my home then go to a theatre and spend $12 for a ticket and $14 for a pop and a coke. Buying a DVD costs me the same and I get to keep it, and if I rent said dvd for $4 well its all win win for me. I see direct to DVD as a good idea so long as they dont use it as an excuse to start casting rappers and directors with no talent and completely MURDER the franchise.
