Dimension to remake Ryeong

Dimension has jumped on the bandwagon and is now going to remake a Korean horror film Ryeong. The movie deals with a girl with amnesia who realizes that she has some connection to a group that are being killed off one by one by a vengeful ghost.

I have never seen the film so I have no real insight on this one. I have heard of it but thats about it. I don't see the need to remake the whole movie when they could just buy the rights to market the movie in America and it would probably make more money.
