Janet Leigh Leaves Legacy

Today is indeed a sad day for all of us in the horror/film world.  Janet Leigh, who stared in such films as Psycho, The Manchurian Candidate (1962), The Fog and Halloween H20 (along side daughter Jamie Lee Curtis), passed away on Oct. 3rd of 2004.  Leigh was 77 years old at the time of her passing.

 

Her most memorable moment in the eyes of fans is arguably that of the ‘shower scene’ in Psycho where Anthony Perkins repeatedly stabs her and made legions of film goers think twice before ever setting foot in a motel shower.

 

Leigh passed away at her Beverly Hills home with daughters Jamie Lee Curtis and Kelly Curtis at her side.  Leigh had suffered from vasculitis, an inflammation of the blood vessels, for the past year.
