Randy Couture Cast in Mummy 3?

One of my great friends John from TheMovieBlog sent me word that Randy Couture has been cast in the upcoming Mummy 3 movie. Needless to say I am shocked. He is reportedly cast in a MAJOR role. Randy Couture is the Rocky of our generation. At 40 he comes out of retirement and DESTROYS his opponents who are half his age.... however... that doesnt make him an actor. A small cameo role I can live with but as much as I admire this guy it irks me when non-actors get cast in films. It comes off to me as a cheap attempt at luring in a particular fanbase to watch your film.

 

The film stars Michelle Yeoh, Brendan Fraser and Jet Li.  Jet li will play the first emporor of china, and when Father and Son team unearth him they must not only fight him, but also his entire army of mummified warriors. Filming began July 27th.
