Hallowed Ground on DVD October 9th

Death has been prophesied in the terrifying DVD debut of Hallowed Ground, avai lable October 9, 2007 from Genius Products. Hallowed Ground features a outstanding performance by Jaimie Alexander, (Rest Stop, “Kyle XY”) hailed as one of the new generation of “scream queens” by USA Today,  alongside Brian McNamara (Arachnophobia, “Billionaire Boys Club”) and Hudson Leick (“Xena: Warrior Princess”). In the scary vein of such c lassics horror film as Jeepers Creepers and Children of the Corn, David Benullo (Around the World in 80 Days) makes his chilling directorial debut in a film that is packed with bone-chilling suspense and unforgettable gory images.

Hallowed Ground was produced by Grodfilm Corportion for Genius Products under a five-year, multi-film pact. Under Grodfilm’s genre label, Mass Hysteria Films, Hallowed Ground was executive produced by Dan Grodnik, Eric Goz lan and Mike Greenfield.
 
Built on hallowed ground, the town of Hope was founded in 1896 by a fanatical preacher. To protect the harvest and livelihood of his town from Satan’s evil powers, the preacher sacrificed the town’s sinners by crucifying them on the cross. When the town turns against him, it leads to his ultimate demise. A century later, a young woman (Alexander) finds herself stranded in the town of Hope. She soon discovers her arrival there was foretold by the town’s founding preacher and that she is an integral part of his impending- and terrifying –rebirth.
