6 classic Sci-Fi movies added

Today i added 6 of my favourite Sci-Fi movies. All of them are worth watching, and represent typical movies of the genre.
- The Thing from another World : Based on John W. Campbell jr.´s "Who goes there ?", and directed by Howard Hawks (uncredited) who also produced, and Christian Nyby in 1951. It is well filmed, with really nice light/shadow scenes and truly represents the "classic" science-fiction/horror movie.
- Ghost in the Shell : One of the best Animes i've ever seen. It is an excellent animated Cyperpunk-Thriller about a female covernment cyber agent and the Internal Bureau of Investigations, who are on the trail of a computer virus capable of invading cybernetic brains and altering its victim’s memory.
- Tron : Disney's "Tron" was a milestone for computer animated effects in 1983. Never before were CGI's used in this ammount and with this quality. This movie was a revolution in his genre and a progenitor to all following Sci-Fi Movies.
- Solaris : Filmed in 1972 by Alexei Tarkovski, it is not only one of the best Sci-Fi Movies, but also one of the best Russian Movie. It is a reflection on the themes of cosmos, Earth, man, human conscience, life, death and responsibility before the future. You definitely shouldn't miss this movie
- Solaris Remake : Steven Soderbergh's version of Andrei Tarkovski's movie "Solaris"(1972). Although it didn't do too well at the box-office, it is a very good movie and definitely worth seeing. Also George Clooney portrayed his character very good.
- Starship Troopers : One of the coolest Sci-Fi movies i know. Paul Verhoeven really made a great, action packed movie with lots of Special Effects.
Also check out the movies Luke put up for me this week: Planet of the Apes, The Abyss, Outland, Terminator, Terminator 2 and Aliens. THX a lot Luke.
Be sure to head over to the Sci-Fi section, for a lot of futuristic, dramatic, action packed, and fantastic movies.
