Dark Water Remake Pushed back

Touchstone Pictures have been under the process of remaking Hideo Nakatas "Dark Water". The push is a huge one from the end of this year to Summer of next year possibly later. I don't really undestand why they need this much time with a film that was supposed to come out the end of this year.

The story revolves around a mother and daughter who escape an ugly custody battle with the girl's father by retreating to a dilapidated apartment building. Instead of finding solace, though, they are haunted by the ghost of a young girl whose family used to live there.
