Resident Evil 2 DVD Specs

Alexander Witts Resident Evil 2 just recently surpassed the original in the theatres with $43 million gross. The orginal made $40 million. Now its time for DVD sales which will add to that number even more. Even though I thought the movie was very poorly written and oozed cheese it is fairing rather well. Here is what we can expect from the RE: 2 DVD.

This two-disc special edition will be available to own from the 28th December, priced at around $28.96. As well as a nice 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen presentation and English Dolby Digital 5.1 track, the disc will include an audio commentary with director Alexander Witt and producer Jeremy Bolt, a cast commentary with Milla Jovovich, Oded Fehr and Sienna Guillory, another commentary with writer Paul W.S. Anderson and producer Jeremy Bolt as well as twenty deleted scenes. Completing the package will be cast outtakes, Mike Epps Bonus Outtakes, a Game Over: The Making Of "RE2" featurette, a Corporate Malfeasance featurette on the real world similarities to the Umbrella Corp, a Game Babes featurette on the emergence of female action stars on film, another featurette entitled Symphony Of Evil on the special effects in the film, and a poster gallery.
