New rumors have hit the internet about the Superman Returns sequel. According to
The Planet, via
FilmStalker a DC Police Officer caught up with Michael Doughery and talked to him about the Superman sequel. Yeah it a bit odd I know. Anyrate here is a short snippet of what he had to say.
I asked him if he was apart of the sequal because everything I have seen says Singer and Harris are writing the script and that he isn't mentioned. He confirmed that he is writing it with the two just like the last picture. I then expressed to him that I was hoping the delays of Superman: The Man of Steel weren't true. He said that they were on track and that the goal is still to have the movie out in the Summer of 2009. He seemed a little hesitant about it but did his best to try and reassure that it will get done by then. I asked if he could give any more info on the film. He responded, "There are TWO villains," and he smiled.
A while back
RottenTomatoes talked to Brandon Routh about the upcoming Superman Returns sequel. It would seem the overall vibe for the sequel would be to put a bit more action in it. Admittedly I have to this day not yet seen Superman Returns:
"Bryan Singer said at Comic-Con they were going to add some more fighting elements and stuff like that," said Routh. "That might be kind of interesting to throw some punches or throw something, I don't know, a little more active." Routh is going to have to hit the gym again to get back into fighting shape, but not just yet. "I think I've got a while. We probably won't start for another at least six months. They've got to get things written so I'm still in the gym. I still work out a little bit but certainly not as much as I had been."
Stay tuned, I am sure many of you are excited to hear the sequel is going to contain a bit more action.
