Shark Week 20th Anniversary DVD Set

Its Shark Week this week and we ar celebrating by giving away a super spiffy box set from Discovery Channel! Every year, The Discovery Channel hosts a weeklong celebration of sharks with engrossing footage and unique programming geared towards education and conservation to "turn fear into fact.â€ On July 29 through Aug. 4, Shark Week 2007 kicks off celebrating its 20th year on television. Since 1987, the mission of Shark Week has been to explore the dangers as well as the wonder of sharks in a way that creates awareness of safety for both people and this apex predator that is also a beautiful and important oceanic creature that is being massacred by the hundreds of millions every year.

This year, Shark Week kicks off July 29 at 9 p.m. with the special "Ocean of Fear: Worst Shark Attack Ever,â€ the true story of the U.S.S. Indianapolis, the same ship mentioned in "Jawsâ€ where most of the men stranded at sea were killed by sharks after their ship sank. Shark Week continues with "Deadly Stripes: Tiger Sharksâ€ on July 30 at 9 p.m. and "Top 5 Eaten Aliveâ€ at 10 p.m., and the rest of the week kicks off every night at 9 p.m. with "Shark Feeding Frenzyâ€ on July 31, "Perfect Predatorsâ€ on Aug. 1, "Shark Tribeâ€ on Aug. 2, "Sharks: A Family Affairâ€ on Aug. 3, and "Shark Manâ€ on Aug. 4.
