Alex Proyas Directing Silver Surfer?

Alex Proyas is reportedly being scouted to direct the upcoming Silver Surfer Movie. The rumor comes from our friends at FilmIck. Alex Proyas is currently working on a new Dracula Film called Year Zero.

 

Frankly as much as I like Alex Proyas, his film Dark City was awesome I could care less for a Silver Surfer movie. Both Fantastic Four movies left a really bad taste in my mouth that not even Jessica Alba could salvage. So in order for this Surfer movie to appeal me some pretty serious changes in writing, visuals and directing would have to happen. I like the Fantastic Four Comics, and The Silver Surfer is a great character but 2 bad films have jaded me to the concept.
