Tartan Announces Upcoming DVD Titles

Today we were sent a bunch of new information regarding some titles that Tartan will be releasing in the coming months. The first of which is Jamin Winans first feature film 11:59 starring Raymond Andrew Bailey in his first lead role. Winner of multiple film festival awards, this ambitious film reminiscent of Christopher Nolanâ€™s Memento, will be released on DVD September 25^thfor a SRP of $22.95, courtesy of Tartan Video.

A young and jaded news cameraman has just broken the national news story of the year, only to mysteriously pass out and awaken in a deserted field with no memory of the last 24 hours or how he got there. Fighting for his career and his sanity, the mystery only grows more complex as he is forced to reexamine his own life before understanding the mysterious events taking place before his eyes. Will he be able to change what is about to unfold and set the future right?

The disc itself will be presented in anamorphic widescreen with Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound and DTS Surround Sound 5.1. Extra features include:

The next title will be released under Tartan's Asia Extreme banner. Johnnie To's Triad Election will be released on DVD September 11th for a SRP of $22.95. This film served as a jumping off point to the film he made more recently as a prequel to this one Election which played at the Cannes Film Festival in 2005.

Wo Shing is Hong Kongâ€™s oldest Triad Society. Under the leadership of its current Chairman Lok, it has grown to become the most feared crime organization in the city.Jimmy (Louis Koo), a twenty-first-century gangster with an M.B.A., wants to go clean by building a legitimate business empire. His profit-making enterprises have already made him a favorite in the upcoming Chairman election, but his popularity has also brought him to the attention of the Chinese authorities, who believe he is the perfect middleman to bring the Triads and the Central Government into peaceful co-existence. The Chinese authorities offer Jimmy access to the Mainlandâ€™s business market should he choose to lead Wo Shing for the next two years. The irony is not lost on Jimmy: in order to escape the Triads, first he must become their leader.

Mandarin and Cantonese, with English and Spanish subtitles, Triad Election is presented in anamorphic widescreen, Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound and DTS Surround Sound 5.1.
