Dennis Hopper Signs on for Speed 3?

So Dennis Hopper according to Film Guardian a UK publiciation has signed on to play a role in Speed 3. Seeing as how his character had his head blown off in the original Speed how on earth can he be in Speed 3? The source is Dennis Hopper himself, he talked about it in an interview with The Guardian. Are they going to somehow bring his character back to life? LAME! Or are they going to cast him in a new role? Totally not logical. No word on if anyone else has signed on for Speed 3.
