Indy 4: Day One Video

The official website for "Indiana Jones 4” has posted "First Day of Shooting,” a video of the first day of principal photography for the long-awaited, much-doubted fourth installment to the Indiana Jones chronicles. Harrison Ford has returned to reprise his famous title adventure hero, and joining him are Shia LaBeouf ("Constantine” and "Disturbia”), Cate Blanchett ("Lord of the Rings” and "The Aviator”) and John Hurt ("V for Vendetta” and "Hellboy”).

The video shows director Steven Spielberg giving a sort of reunion speech to the crew, and shows George Lucas on location as well. After so much speculation that the fourth Indy project would never get off the ground after so much delay and wonder if it should come to fruition, this video showing up almost acts as the filmmakers' definitive answer to any skepticism, showing that the film is going forward and will be made. The page also states that the worldwide release of "Indy 4” is currently scheduled for May 22, 2008. Sounds like Spielberg and Lucas hope Indy will own the Memorial Day box office next summer.
