Fever Dreams LLC, a division of the indie friendly Media Blasters, has announced that Tony Todd (NOTLD 90, Final Destination) will be taking the lead role in the upcoming tentatively titled ‘Shadow’ movie.
Shadow is currently filming in the Philadelphia area and has Todd playing the role of a blood ritual practitioner whose execution sparks a prison riot, causing the prison to be closed. 20 years later it is reopened as a women’s prison and one inmate in particular has psychic and martial skills. She can sense the spirit of ‘Shadow’ (Todd) and he eventually resurrects and brings with him an army of the undead.
Carla Greene (an experienced martial artist) is playing the role of the woman inmate and the movie will include Tony Leung Siu-Hung (Twin Dragons, Drunken Master 2) taking care of the choreography. Special effects will be handled by Brian Spears and Peter Gerner of G&S Effects and Canadian artist Allan Cooke (Wrong Turn). Derek Wan (previously a cinematographer) is slated to direct the movie from a script written by Fangoria’s Michael Gringold based on a story by Richard Siegal.
