The second webisode of the online science fiction series Sanctuary is to get an early showing in London, England. A press release from Stage 3 Media, the company behind Sanctuary, has confirmed that the webisode will premiere at the 2007 MCM Expo. The Expo takes place at ExCel on London’s Royal Victoria Dock from May 26 to 27. The webisode will go on general release on May 28 on the official website for the series, www.sanctuaryforall.com.

Sanctuary stars Amanda Tapping, who is a regular on the soon-to-end series Stargate SG-1. She is currently filming the movie spin-offs from that series and her character, astrophysicist Samantha Carter, will be moving over to Stargate Atlantis when it begins its fourth season on the SCI FI Channel in the United States this fall. In Sanctuary, Tapping plays Dr. Helen Magnus, a 157-year old scientist who seeks out mutant creatures with the help of her protégé Will Zimmerman (Robin Dunne) and her daughter, Ashley (Emilie Ullerup).

The MCM Expo is a movie, comic and media show. Tapping and Damian Kindler, the creator of Sanctuary, will be at the event to show Sanctuary and sign autographs. Veteran actor Christopher Lee is also scheduled to appear in celebration of his 85th birthday. More information on the Expo can be found at www.londonexpo.com

The first webisode of Sanctuary was released on May 14. The initial run of the series will consist of eight webisodes, each around 15 minutes long. The show is produced in Vancouver, Canada, specifically for the Internet.
