Tarantinos Hero Coming to DVD November 30thPosted by:Miramax Home Entertainment has announced the region 1 release of Hero. It will be available to own November 30th with a street price of $29.99. The film itself will be presented in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen along with Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 6.1 Mandarin and English language tracks, along with English subtitles. Extras will include a Hero Defined making of featurette, storyboards from four scenes and an interview with Quentin Tarantino. You can pre-order the dvds for $20.99 here
Hero is the story of the soon-to-be First Emperor of China who is on the brink of conquering a war-torn land during the violent dawn of the Qin dynasty over two thousand years ago. Three opponents are determined to assassinate the King, and one loyal subject stands in their way. "Before he became the First Emperor of China, Ying Zheng (played by Cheng Daoming), King of the state of Qin, brutal and ruthless, was the target of many assassins. Among them, Broken Sword, (played by Tony Leung Chiu-Wai), Flying Snow, (played by Maggie Cheung) and Sky (played by Donnie Yen) are the best. However, their plan was challenged by No-name (played by Jet Li). He rarely spoke and no one knew what he was up to, but something was hidden behind this eyes. No-name told the king that his enemies had been wiped out by him, but the king did not trust him. When No-name finally start to fulfill his wish, killing the king, something more deadly was waiting for him ...
