Lonnie Rashid Cast in Wanted

MTV reports that Lonnie Rashid Lynn Jr. has just joined the cast of WANTED starring Angelina Jolie. This film is definetly beginning to look more and more like a summer blockbuster. Having already read the comic books by Mark Millar on which the film will be based, I can say this is gonna be one wild ride. The cast already includes James McAvoy and Morgan Freeman.

McAvoy will play a young man who discovers his father is an assassin, only to learn shortly thereafter that his dad has been murdered. The youth is drafted to follow in his father's footsteps. Jolie will play an assassin who teaches the ropes to the wannabe killer.

According to Variety, Jolie took the role after a rewrite by Dean Georgaris (Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life) tailor made the character for her. Isn't that nice? It seems as though Jolie almost has complete control over any role she takes now even changing the script to fit her needs. To add to the excitement of the potential that this film holds Night Watch director Timur Bekmambetov will also be behind the camera for Wanted which will begin shooting in Eastern Europe in May.
