Variety Confirms Russell Crowe in Robin Hood Movie

Today Variety confirmed a news item that is hardly new. Its something we posted about quite some itme ago. The fact that Russell Crowe will be starring in the Robin Hood remake. I guess the good news is that at least its not a horror remake. I am not a fan of Russell Crowe at all. Not even remotely. That said he has joined a new Robin Hood where he is going to play a kinder gentler Nottingham, quote from Cinematical 
“is based on a premise that the Sheriff was more noble than previously portrayed and that Robin Hood was far less virtuous. In fact, in this story, in many ways Robin Hood is not much more than a common thief. Of course, there’s also a love story involving Crowe’s Sheriff, Robin Hood and the lovely Marion to further complicate matters.”
Just what we needed a remake of Robin Hood with a kinder gentler Nottingham.
